Availability in plain words.
The schedule builds itself
Each person sends their own availability in plain sentences. Nothing for you to retype. No calendars to tap, no fields to configure.

Does this sound familiar?
- Availability arrives as chat messages, and you retype it into the schedule
- Everyone can work different days and hours, so building the schedule takes ages
- You only find the short-staffed days after the schedule is out
HOW IT WORKS
What your staff write becomes the schedule
01
Staff write in their own words. Spatto reads them as conditions
Each reading sits next to the sentence it came from, so a misreading shows up right away.
Tanaka
Weekends are out, as a rule. And 11/12 is no good.
Ito
I'm just back from maternity leave, so up to 3 days a week and 6 hours a day please. Also I need to leave by 5.
Suzuki
I'd rather not be on the same day as Tanaka. And please don't leave me on my own.
Manager
Three people on weekdays please. Five in total on weekends and holidays.
Cannot work Saturdays or Sundays
read as days and times · “Weekends are out, as a rule”
Cannot work at all on 11/12
read as days and times · “And 11/12 is no good”
Up to 3 days a week
counted as a limit · “up to 3 days a week”
Up to 6 hours a day
counted as a limit · “6 hours a day”
Leaves by 17:00
read as days and times · “I need to leave by 5”
Not on the same day as Tanaka
affects who works together · “I'd rather not be on the same day as Tanaka”
Never on their own — but how many counts as enough is not settled
cannot be counted · “please don't leave me on my own”
Three on weekdays — but whether that means three at all times or three across the day is not settled
stops the save · “Three people on weekdays please”
"Three people on weekdays" can mean three at all times or three across the day.
Five people across the day on weekends and holidays (the same person in and out counts once)
read as days and times · “Five in total on weekends and holidays”

The schedule is built from everyone's conditions
Staff conditions and shop conditions together. Split shifts and overnight shifts included.

It tells you what could not be met
Short staffing, contract limits, and requests that had to be broken, in one list.
Real output: “What could not be met”
On 3 days, “manager or stylist” is 1 short
Days: 11/23, 11/25, 11/30
On 11/25, 18:00–20:00 has only 0 of the 2 needed
It does not meet the shop conditions.
Sato asked to finish early from the 28th but gave no time, so 11/28–11/30 were built to end at 17:00, the safer way
The finishing time was not settled. Fixing it early is safer than booking them late and having it fall apart. The actual time they want still needs checking.
04
Someone calls in sick? Ask from that day's schedule
Ask about the gap and Spatto lays a suggestion over the schedule that breaks no one's requests or contract limits. If there is no way without breaking something, it says so.
A real consult
I want to resolve “On 11/12, 16:00–20:00 has only 2 of the 3 needed.” What can I do?
Adding Ken Watanabe for 16:00–20:00 on 11/12 fills the evening gap, with no new problems. His availability hasn't been read yet, so check with him that the evening works.

Conditions this would meet
11/12 16:00–20:00 has only 2 of the 3 needed
