Terms of service
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This is a translation for reference. The Japanese version is the authoritative text; if the two differ, the Japanese version governs.
1. Scope
These terms set out the conditions for using Spatto (the "Service"), provided by Kohei Kawamura ("we").
2. Accounts
- There are no passwords. You sign in with a link sent to your email address, or with a Google account
- If you run a shop, you can invite staff by registering their email addresses. Get their agreement before you register them
- Do not pass your sign-in link to anyone else
3. Fees
- The fee is a monthly amount per staff member. The amount is shown in the Service
- The first month is free. No credit card is required
- A change in headcount takes effect from the following month. Adding someone mid-month is not billed for that month, and removing someone does not refund the month already paid
- Payment is handled through Stripe
4. About the schedules the Service builds
- The Service reads what you write as conditions, and builds a schedule from them
- The reading can be wrong. That is why the Service always shows how it read each sentence next to the original text. Check it before you confirm a schedule
- Conditions that could not be met are listed. This includes understaffed times, contract limits, and requests that were not kept. Anything listed there has not been met
- The same conditions will not always produce exactly the same schedule
- We are not responsible for the content of the schedules that are built. Before you confirm a schedule, check it against labour law, your work rules, and your employment contracts
- The Service does not judge legal compliance. Matters such as night work by minors, rest breaks, and overtime pay are handled only to the extent they are written as conditions
5. What you must not do
- Use someone else's account
- Analyse, copy, or redistribute the Service
- Place an excessive load on the Service
- Enter another person's personal data without their agreement
- Act against the law or public order
6. Handling of data
Personal data is handled as described in our privacy policy. When someone's time at a shop ends, their past shifts and what they wrote remain. This is so that past schedules stay readable.
7. Suspension and termination
- The Service may be suspended temporarily and without notice for maintenance or faults
- We may suspend use that breaches these terms
- You may cancel at any time. The fee for the month in which you cancel is not refunded
8. Disclaimer
- The Service is provided as is. We do not warrant that it is fit for any particular purpose
- Our liability for damages arising from use of the Service is limited to the fees received in the preceding one month. This limit does not apply where we acted intentionally or with gross negligence
9. Changes
If we change these terms, we will say so in the Service or by email.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.
